DVA Gold Card Holders are invited to access a range of services at GCMC with the costs FULLY COVERED upon presentation of your Gold Card.
When you visit Gold Coast Medical Centre, your total fee will be comprised of the out of pocket component as well as the Medicare Rebate component, which will depend on the service provided at the time.
Our staffs, through our Medicare Australia Ezyclaim and On-line services, are happy to lodge your Medicare claim enabling rapid rebates
Although Gold Coast Medical Centre has had a cancellation policy, recently a number of patients, many new patients, have not attended their appointments and have not given notification to change their appointment.
Our doctors want to be available for your medical needs and the medical needs of all our patients. When a patient does not show for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen.
To keep waiting times to a minimum, unlike other practices, we don't double book patients.
Our practice now has to enforce the following process -
1. Cancellation Fee Policy for General Practitioners: A fee of $40 will apply should our practice not receive a request to cancel or reschedule the appointment at least four (4) hours prior. This fee is not claimable through Medicare.
2. New Patients: At the time of booking your appointment, our reception staff will notify the Cancellation Policy, you will be asked to supply your credit card details (your credit card will not be charged at this time) and a confirmation SMS message will be sent to your mobile shortly. You will be asked to read and acknowledge the terms on the message. Should a reply not be received straight away, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment.
3. On-the-Day Failure to attend appointment: Our reception staff will contact you via telephone and/or SMS you prior to charging your credit card.
4. Failure to attend appointments without sufficient notice will result in a SMS informing the patient of their non-arrival. Should a patient not attend their appointment three times in a row without notification, the patient may be asked to seek treatment elsewhere.
